Former Bafana Bafana defender Siyabonga Sangweni believes young and inexperienced players can do better than tried and tested stars to lead South Africa to Qatar.
Bafana are currently leading their group in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers and so far have had a very impressive run, beating Ghana at home for the first time in over a decade, despite having inexperienced players.
A confident Sangweni says the approach by coach Hugo Broos to use new faces in the national team has done wonders.
"I see Bafana Bafana going to the World Cup. We are using hungry young players, that still want to expose themselves to the world. Hugo Broos believes in giving youngsters an opportunity," Sangweni told the Siya crew.
"You know when a player is hungry, you can win any game as a coach, because you have players that have not tasted international success, hey want to play in the World Cup and expose themselves," he added.
