The South African Football Association has given an update on whether this weekend’s Bafana Bafana match will be broadcast live on television by the South African Broadcasting Corporation.
According to the football governing body, SAFA and SABC have resolved Bafana broadcast matter, as confirmed in a statement issued on Thursday afternoon.
“The South African Football Association (SAFA) and the SABC are pleased to announce that they have amicably resolved the issue of broadcasting the AFCON qualifier between Bafana Bafana and Libya which will take place at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, 8 September 2018,” stated SAFA in their statement.
The match has been scheduled to start at 15h00 and will be televised live on SABC 1, according to SAFA.
“We are pleased to announce that we have resolved the outstanding issues and I would like to thank the SABC in making sure that the nation will watch their favourite sport on the national broadcaster,” said SAFA President Dr Danny Jordaan in a statement.
“I would also like to thank the Ministries of Sport and Recreation SA and Communications for working hard to resolve this matter,” added Dr Jordaan.
