Amajimbos To Compete In Four Nations Tournament

News reaching the Siya Crew is that the South African U17 national team, Amajimbos, have been invited by the Lesotho Football Association to compete in tournament which will consist of three other countries which are still to be named.
Amajimbos, who are coached by Molefi Ntseki, will begin preparing for the tournament as of Thursday, 7 December, and will jet off to the neighbouring country around the 13th of December 2017. Speaking exclusively to the Siya Crew Ntseki confirmed that SAFA is already in the process of putting together a team that will travel to Lesotho to compete in the tournament.
“We did receive the invite to compete in the competition, though at this stage we don’t know who the other countries will be,” Ntseki informed the Crew.
“As of the 7th we will begin the process of assembling a squad that will travel. We hope that by the 12th of December we would have put together a team eligble to travel and compete in this competition.”
“This process will entail us ensuring that the players who are going to Lesotho have the right documentation to travel such as birth certificates, identification and passports,” added the Amajimbos coach.
Ntseki further notified the Siya crew that he was hoping the Lesotho FA would provide more details about the tournament which will help in preparing his players.
The South Afican U17 mentor was recently named the Sports Coach of the Year at the Free State Province Sports Awards for guiding his side to a silver medal at the 2016 BRICS U17 Football Tournament held in Goa, India. Ntseki also led his charges to a fourth-place finish at the 17 COSAFA Cup in Mauritius in July.
