Player Ratings: Cameroon 2-2 Bafana Bafana
Soccer Laduma rates the performances of the Bafana Bafana players following their 2-2 draw with Cameroon on Saturday.
Itumeleng Khune (c): 7.0
Khune had a great first half, making some key saves but then fell short on occasion after the break.
Anele Ngcongca: 6.5
Ngcongca looked reliable in defence in the first half. He picked up an unfortunate injury just before the break which forced a substitution.
Thabo Matlaba: 6.0
Matlaba had an average game. He lacked his usual impact on attack but didn't make any big errors.
Erick Mathoho: 6.0
Mathoho may have done better. His presence at set-pieces was underwhelming.
Thulani Hlatshwayo: 6.5
The centre-back made a few strong tackles but was also guilty of weak marking at set-pieces.
Mandla Masango: 6.5
Masango made a few incisive runs from midfield, but didn't make a big impact on the game.
Andile Jali: 7.5
Jali produced an excellent through-ball to set up Rantie's goal, and controlled possession with composure in midfield.
Hlompho Kekana: 8.5
Kekana put in a big effort, scoring with a wonder-goal from within his own half, while also bossing the midfield in front of his centre-backs.
Mpho Makola: 6.5
Makola tried to make things happen with his movement off the ball, but just lacked the cutting edge to really trouble Cameroon.
Thamsanqa Gabuza: 6.0
Gabuza wasn't really a factor up front and was replaced by Thulani Serero at the start of the second half.
Tokelo Rantie: 7.5
Rantie scored a great goal in the 17th minute, but also squandered a few top chances which could have changed the outcome.
Rivaldo Coetzee: 6.0
Coetzee had to fill in at right-back for Ngcongca after coming on in the 45th minute. He didn't make any glaring errors.
Thulani Serero: 6.5
Serero gave the midfield a nice injection of creativity after coming on in the 46th minute and should have had a penalty in stoppage time.
William Twala: 6.0
Twala came on for Makola but failed to really make a significant contribution.
