Mosimane: I Want To Wish Baxter And Bafana Well

Pitso Mosimane: I Want To Wish Stuart Baxter And Bafana Bafana Well

By Soccer Laduma - Oct 06, 2017 05:15 PM

Mamelodi Sundowns head coach, Pitso Mosimane has wished the South African national team well ahead of their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying encounter this weekend.

Bafana will host Burkina Faso at the FNB Stadium on Saturday, October 07 in a must-win World cup qualifier, with Head Coach Stuart Baxter’s side eager to keep their Russian dream alive.

The South African national team will have to win all three of their upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers and hope that Cape Verde, who are currently top of group D, drop at least three points for Bafana to comfortably make their way to the prestigious competition in Russia next year.

Speaking to Sundowns’ official website, Mosimane has wished the national team well ahead of Saturday’s encounter.

“We must give our best at times irrespective of the results and when you do that consistently, something will give in. That is the mentality we have at Mamelodi Sundowns in Champions League hence we have gone that far. We couldn’t defend the cup, but domestically we consistently have to qualify for Champions League. I want to wish Stewart and our boys all the best luck,” he said in part.

The match will be underway tomorrow, October, 07, at the FNB Stadium at 15h00.

When Baxtina took over the abafana reigns everyone was convinced that he's gonna take us far especially considering his salary demands n also forcing safa to employ his son so he could work with him. Now its clear to everyone that every coach is taking us for a ride. Getting moered by cape Verde back to back while our good players watched from the bench n stands was my last straw. I give up on Baxtina. Let's try someone else who believes in youngsters not aboGould

Wishing other teams to lose is a nappyrena mentality, I don't subscribe to that. You work hard for your success, it is parasitic to expect others to work hard for you..

Sir Pitso is just being diplomatic here, I suspect he is laughing his lungs out at these jokes in his private space. Yesterday, It was the first time I came to know gore Baxter is a comedian.

Our players no longer play ball with passion. They just go there, huff and puff, then collect a fat cheque paid with our tax money. These lazy crooks are robbing the state!

Having a British oppressor as head coach of the South African national team is a complete disgrace. As long as we have politicians at the helm of our football then we are doomed!

We have been in this situation before "hoping other teams drop points for Bafana Bafana to have any chance of qualifying.." and as far as I can remember, they didn't make it. I think history will repeat itself..
