Bafana Bafana have been hit by COVID-19, with replacements coming in for players who have been affected by COVID-19 as well as injury.
At a press conference held in Sandton, Johannesburg, on Monday, it was announced that Percy Tau and Teboho Mokoena have tested positive for COVID-19 and will miss the friendly international against the Cranes.
Mokoena's SuperSport United teammate Sipho Mbule has been ruled out as he has been in close contact with Mokoena.
It was also revealed that Mamelodi Sundowns players Mothobi Mvala, Mosa Lebusa and Rivaldo Coetzee have been ruled out of the clash after undergoing scans on their knocks.
The players have since been replaced by Njabulo Ngcobo of Swallows FC, Baroka FC duo Evidence Makgopa and Denwin Farmer, as well as Ethan Brooks from TS Galaxy.
The Bafana Bafana players arrived in camp on Monday to start preparing for the match which will be played on Thursday, June 10. They are scheduled to have a training session for the new technical team to see the players ahead of the clash.
The press conference on Monday was addressed by assistant coaches Janevski Cedomir and Helman Mkhalele, as head coach Hugo Broos is still away after going back to Belgium to get his COVID-19 vaccination.
