Percy Tau has broken his silence on the experience of playing in the Premier League and his current lack of game time with Brighton and Hove Albion.
Tau last featured for Brighton in the FA Cup defeat to Leicester City in February while he's last Premier League cameo came against Leeds United in January.
Despite the lack of minutes, the former Mamelodi Sundowns star played the full 90 minutes and netted the equaliser in Bafana Bafana's 1-1 draw against Ghana on Thursday.
Tau says he will keep on working to get back in the Brighton side with the team doing well at the moment.
"Look, it's a great experience for me and I'm grateful, I'm trying to give my best, the guys are doing well and we're winning games so it's actually difficult to break into the team," Tau told SABC TV after the game.
"But I just have to keep on trying, hopefully [I'll break into the team]."
The 26-year-old is now shifting his focus to Sunday's final Africa Cup of Nations qualifer against Sudan, where they only need a point to qualify.
"We tried, we gave them a good run, they are also a good side, they stopped us but we kept on going and we'll look at the next game," Tau told SABC TV after the match.
"At the moment we have ten points and they've got ten so we still have another game to go to."
