A late strike from Percy Tau cancelled out Federico Santander's opening goal as Bafana and Paraguay drew 1-1 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Osorio felt his charges matched up well with Bafana, who he thought were physical on the night.
“I think South Africa is a strong team. They have some good players [and] they are very physical. I think we matched them up as far as the athleticism [is concerned],” the Colombian born coach told SuperSport after the game.
“If we had finished our chances in a better manner in the first half the score at halftime could have been quite different.
“Nevertheless it has been a good experience, the game itself has taught me a lot of things. I think in the end it’s okay to draw against a very strong team.”
