Nigeria coach, Gernot Rohr, is reportedly expected to release the list of his squad to face Bafana Bafana, later this month.
Nigeria is scheduled to host Bafana in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifying game in June and according to reports from Nigeria, the coach of the Super Eagles is planning to name his squad for the game later this month.
So far, the German coach in charge of Nigeria has named a 25-man squad for an international friendly match against Corsica, which is expected to take place later this month.
According to owngoalnigeria.com, Rohr has said that a list of players for the 2019 AFCON qualifier against Bafana will be released at the end of May.
“Not at all, this is not the list for the clash against South Africa. It’s just for the camping in France and the friendly against Corsica, meanwhile, the list for the South Africa tie will be out later in the Month.
“The camp in France is to say some of the young players we have in the team and also gauge the level of fitness of some of the players who have not been playing a lot for their team.
“After the friendly against Corsica, we will release another list which will be for the game against South Africa in Uyo, with some players returning while those who impress during the camp in France will also be included,” Rohr told owngoalnigeria.com.
