Bafana Bafana and Egypt could be set to share the trophy should the two teams play to a draw in their match tonight.
Bafana will host Egypt in the Nelson Mandela Challenge at the Orlando Stadium tonight. South Africa coach Ephraim "Shakes" Mashaba has named a strong team for the game, including Mamelodi Sundowns star Keagan Dolly, who has recovered from the injury that kept him out of the team's previous fixture.
According to Bafana's official Twitter account, there will be no extra time or penalty shootout in the event of a draw between the two teams.
"In the event of a draw after 90 min between @BafanaBafana & Egypt, no extra time or penalty shootout, trophy to be shared @safa_net," Bafana tweeted.
South Africa's home record under Mashaba and his technical team has been disappointing in recent times, with Bafana drawing 1-1 with Mauritania in their last 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Friday.
