Bafana Bafana midfielder Dean Furman says they lacked cutting edge upfront, following their 'disappointing' draw with Libya on Saturday afternoon.
Bafana dropped points in their second 2019 Africa Cup of Nations encounter after playing to a 0-0 draw with Libya on Saturday evening.
Furman, who scooped up the Man of the Match award, says it was disappointing not to get a win against a side who sat back for most of the game.
“It’s disappointing, really, to get a 0-0 against a team that pretty much puts everyone behind the ball,” Furman told SuperSport after the game.
“We kind of knew that’s how they were going to play and the challenge was for us to break them down. Unfortunately we didn’t do enough in the final third. We didn’t cause them problems behind [the defence].
“There were few moments where we could have done better, but going forward we need a bit more cutting edge. We were lacking that today, our ball tempo was bit slow. It’s a disappointing 0-0 for us. Credit to them, but to us it's a bit of an anti-climax really."
