The South African men’s senior national team is scheduled to take on Angola today in their first fixture.

Yesterday the Crew reported that the South African Football Association is yet to confirm the broadcast of the tournament that is being played in Zambia, but SAFA's Head of Communications, Dominic Chimhavi has confirmed to the Siya crew that the clash will not be broadcasted on televison.

Official updates of Bafana’s fixtures will be available on Bafana’s official twitter. South Africa take on hosts Zambia, Zimbabwe and Angola with the tournament scheduled to finish by 25 March 2018.

Meanwhile, the Siya Crew has also reported that Bafana Bafana head coach Stuart Baxter is not under any pressure to win the tournament and SAFA have given the Englishman some leeway to experience with a youthful squad.

Bafana left for Zambia on Tuesday morning. The squad is expected to have two training sessions today ahead of their first game today. The national squad is expected to make their return from Zambia on 26 March 2018.

Good decision not to broadcast because it is an insult to South Africans.

We are good in winning tournaments but when it gets to the real things we shrink.

@setlaboswana well said "No reasonable football supporter in a sane state of mind will want to associate themselves with SAFA or Bafana"...if it were up to me there won't be any reporting of Bafana until they're announcing that they have qualified for a major tournament

@EverGold&black, remember the SABC Board had changed, there is no mangamanga business at the Public Broadcaster anymore, they have to raise revenue, that means increasing viewership, broadcasting Bafana Bafana games goes against that version. No reasonable football supporter in a sane state of mind would want to associate himself or herself with SAFA and Bafana Bafana.

Baxteena should have selected all Zebras cows to represent SA since they have the much needed experience of winning such TOYS.

This tournament is as useless as Macufe toy. But to Bafana and SPU(Set pieces united), this Zambia tournament and Macufe are as valuable as the WC and CCL respectively.

Then they wonder why people don't pay their TV licences, They claim to be the biggest national broadcaster in Africa but can't even have a sport channel that's dedicated 24 hours strictly to sport.
