South African coaching expert Farouk Khan is confident Bafana Bafana can get a positive result against Egypt tonight.
South Africa, who only managed a 1-1 draw with Mauritania on Friday, will take on Egypt in the Nelson Mandela Challenge tonight, and Khan has expressed his confidence in the team, given their historical record in the competition – Bafana have lost eight, won 11 and drawn three times against the likes of Brazil, Argentina, Sweden and France.
"I think we always fare very well in this tournament (Nelson Mandela Challenge) and if you look at the likes of Brazil, we were leading 2-0," Khan told Soccer Laduma.
However, he also added that the team may struggle with the pressure to perform following some poor displays.
"I think history speaks for itself in this game. I just think there's a lot of external tension," he concluded.
