Baxter & Bafana In Crunch Talks

Baxter & Bafana In Crunch Talks

A

Stuart Baxter's future with Bafana Bafana appears to be up in the air, with crunch talks being held with the head coach and the South African Football Association.

Baxter has been linked heavily with Kaizer Chiefs in recent days, but word reaching the Siya crew is that the Amakhosi are not the only ones interested in bringing the Englishman on board if he does become available.

The former SuperSport United boss still has a contract with SAFA as things stand, although the crew has been informed that talks have taken place between the association and him even though he is currently away in Sweden.

According to Siya sources, the relationship between the parties is on rocky ground at present as Baxter seemingly becomes more frustrated following the collapse of trips for Bafana to both Thailand and India, and SAFA themselves are known to have flirted with the possibility of trying to bring back Carlos Queiroz - something that is believed to have angered the Iranian FA - after the World Cup.

At this point in time it remains to be seen whether Baxter will leave Bafana, though it does seem like it could well be a possibility given the circumstances, and it is thought that Chiefs will be eager to jump highest if the option to bring him in becomes a reality.

The crew will continue to monitor the situation as it progresses, however it is thought that, given the ongoing discussions, there may be a resolution to the situation before the end of the week.

Knowing the coach for such a very long time, and his talent as a club coach,I think he can win the league with Anakhosi this season.By the way,Baxter isnot a National team coach, but a club coach. Is about time SAFA officials should learn to save the country's money by paying these foreign coaches,We have bunch of talented coaches in the counrty. Why not using our own coaches?Senegal were at the world cup with their former player at Natiobal level, why not us?SAFA is seling the country out,and make our talent look useless. This must come to an end or we toy toy untill our talent reconsidered.#UP THE BUCS.

@dellah That was too much of a story member. It doesn't matter how or why Khama joined Chiefs, what matters here is he preferred Chiefs over Sundowns.

Rumour has it that Baxter is contemplating a reunion with Chiefs despite,at some stage, calling Chiefs supporters idiots.

"There are two reasons which led to Jali deciding to join Sundowns - the first one is that Chiefs have no coach,” explained the player’s representative. “Jali said he could not play for a team which has no coach and at Sundowns, Pitso and Jali have long known each other at Bafana Bafana. So, he said he would be glad to work with him again,” revealed Makaab. “The second reason is that Jali wants to play in the Caf Champions League," concluded Makaab.

Baxter seems to be always open an highly susceptible to being 'angered' and he is quick to leave...Him and Ertugral are birds of the same feather.

Billiat alone can't win Zebras trophies. Same with Messi and Argentina, you might have realised he has turned so ordinary when plying for Argentina.

@mountain, no player is guaranteed a place at Downs, you've to work hard to earn your place. You might have realised your mini god was getting frustrated for full 90 minutes. But he's guaranteed full 90 minutes at Zebras and is going to play on crutches because he's alone. The same what's happening with Messi with Argentina
