The South African Football Association (SAFA) confirmed that 23 players reported for the Bafana Bafana camp, ahead of the Nelson Mandela Challenge on the weekend.
Bafana coach, Shakes Mashaba, experienced difficulties with getting all the players he called up for the game against Cote d’Ivoire on Sunday.
Brilliant Khuzwayo and Mulomowandau Mathoho were pulled out of the initial squad after Kaizer Chiefs refused to release them, while Bidvest Wits said no to the national team for Thulani Hlatshwayo and Jabulani Shongwe.
Orlando Pirates midfielder, Oupa Manyisa, was excused from national team duties to allow him time to recuperate.
Cote d’Ivoire have been in South Africa since Wednesday, for the game at the Mbombela Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
