Bafana Bafana Remain 81st In The FIFA Rankings
Bafana Bafana have moved up one place in Africa in the latest FIFA Rankings, but have remained in 81st-place with regards to the global table.
The last rankings of the year were revealed today as Germany remain on top ahead of Brazil, Portugal, Argentina and Belgium, with Senegal, Tunisia and Egypt topping the African charts as we close out 2017.
This month’s rankings did see Stuart Baxter’s side move up marginally in the African rankings as they went from 18th to 17th, although they will remain outside the top 80 going into January.
Vanuatu had the best month as they leaped up 28 places to 157th, while it was a bad one for Nicaragua as they fell 13 spots to 119th in the world.
Bafana will have to wait some time now before being able to substantially improve their place in the rankings, with no games planned until a few months into 2018.
