Itumeleng Khune: 6/10
Bafana’s goalkeeper had a decent game but could have done a lot better with the first goal as he was caught in no-man’s land.
Thamsanqa Mkhize: 6/10
Mkhize worked hard in defence as the situation demanded. He won most of his one-on-one duels and was overall solid on the night.
Sifiso Hlanti: 5/10
The full-back was often tested in defence with the Senegalese wingers constantly applying pressure to him. Question marks can be raised about his failure to close down Nguette before he could turn and score the goal.
Morgan Gould: 6/10
Gould was solid in contended well with the physique of the opposition which was needed on the night.
Clayton Daniels: 6/10
Daniels partnered well with Moragn Gould as the two seem to have a good understanding. The centre back surged into the opposition half on the odd occasion and was an aerial threat as well.
Dean Furman: 6.5/10
Furman was often winning his midfield battles and also partnered well with Zungu for the most part. He got frustrated after going down in the game and earned himself a yellow card in the process.
Bongani Zungu: 6/10
Zungu had an inconsistent game after returning from suspension. Having moments of brilliance with some good touches, Although, Zungu was at times caught for pace in the game.
Keagan Dolly: 5/10
Dolly’s most notable contribution in the game was his assist for Percy Tau’s goal. Other than that, we did not see much brilliance from the winger as he failed to assert himself in the game.
Themba Zwane: 5/10
Zwane was a bit off the pace on the night and was not his normal threatening self. His casually-taken penalty went wide of the post and at that point, he missed his opportunity to redeem himself for his subpar performance on the night.
Percy Tau: 7/10
Tau made his presence felt as he was a constant threat to the Senegalese defence. A little more strength and the diminutive forward might have scored more goals but his coach will be glad that he capped of his good display with a well-deserved goal.
Sibusiso Vilakazi: 4/10
Vilakazi simply did not pitch up tonight. He did not deliver and was not posing any threat to the Senegalese defence and seems to be struggling for consistency at the moment.
Andile Jali: 5/10
Jali came off the bench and helped solidify the midfield. He made a noticeable impact upon his introduction.
