Itumeleng Khune: 7

Had a quiet first half and dealt with the crosses coming into the box, while he also two made superb saves late in the second half to ensure Bafana keep a clean sheet.

Siyabonga Nhlapo: 6.5

Deputised at right-back and he certainly managed to hold his own defensively against the star-studded Senegalese side.

Mzikayise Mashaba: 6

Mashaba put in a solid showing at left-back, he looked a little shaky in the early stages but he got more confident as the half went on.

Clayton Daniels: 6.5

The SuperSport United defender managed to impress in the heart of the defence and did well to frustrate the Senegalese attack, while he was also composed when in possession on the ball.

Anele Ngcongca: 6.5

Moved to the center of the defence and put in a solid showing alongside Daniels and was key in helping Bafana keep a clean sheet.

Andile Jali: 6.5

Put in a solid shift in the middle of the park, but his passing was poor on the night, something which hasn't improved since the previous game, although he did put in a much improved shift in the second half.

Bongani Zungu: 7

Handed a start in midfield and certainly put his stamp on the game, hardly gave the ball away and picked out a few good passes in the final third.

Not the best of returns for Claasen, hardly managed to get in the game and gave the ball away on a few occasions, and he was substituted in the first half.

Mpho Makola: 7.5

Makola certainly impressed on his debut, he was not afraid to have a go from distance, while he was always available for a pass. He also marked his debut with a sublime goal and scooped the Man of the Match award.

Sibusiso Vilakazi: 6

Vilakazi had a quiet first half, although he did pick out Gabuza with a fine pass late in the half. While, he also squandered two glorious chances in the second stanza.

Thamsanqa Gabuza: 6.5

Continued to work hard upfront and proved to be a real handful for the Senegalese defence, while he was unlucky not to score when rattled the crossbar in the first half.

Jabulani Shongwe: 6.5

Replaced the in-effective Claasen in the 39th minute and put in a tidy shift in the middle and managed to hold his own defensively.
