Ronwen Williams: 5/10
Had a couple shaky moments in the first half. He was close to saving the penalty and helpless with the equaliser. Although, his communication with the defence was off at times.
Tebogo Langerman: 5/10
Not the best of games from the left-back. He afforded the Cape Verde winger too much room for the opening goal. He was also quiet going forward.
Ramahlwe Mphahlele: 4/10
Lost possession of the ball just before Cape Verde won the penalty. He didn't have much joy going forward either.
Eric Mathoho: 3/10
Failed to clear the cross that led to Cape Verde's equaliser. He was beaten easily by Mendes, who was allowed roam into the box to win the penalty. He was also sent off for a silly challenge.
Thulani Hlatshwayo: 5/10
Hlatshwayo slipped in the build-up to Cape Verde's equaliser and was unable to cover, although he did look solid for most parts.
Dean Furman: 4.5/10
Not the best of showings from the midfieler throughout the 90 minutes. He also gave away the penalty with a careless challenge in the first half
Bongani Zungu: 5/10
Zungu laid on the pass for Rantie's goal, but was far too quiet in the middle of the park.
Keagan Dolly: 5/10
Not as involved as the Nigeria game, as he hardly had any attacking joy in the opposition.
Themba Zwane: 5/10
Similarly to Dolly, he managed to tack abck defensively but was quiet going forward.
Lebogang Manyama: 4/10
Not at his usual best on the night, as he failed to offer anything going forward.
Tokelo Rantie: 6/10
Worked hard in the lone role and gifted Bafana the lead with a fine goal, but he was quiet in the second half.
Bradley Grobler: 4/10
Introduced shortly after the break, but failed to make the desired impact.
Kamohelo Mokotjo: 4/10
Replaced Zungu midway through the second. Didn't do much in the final third, but he helped Bafana retain possession.
Percy Tau: NA
Only played 10 minutes, but he did have a chance late to level matters late in the half.

Grobblaar should have started with Manyama on the bench. With him and Tau we would have a better bench to stretch Cape Verde in second half
