Bafana Bafana Jet Out To Cape Verde Today
The South African Football Association has confirmed that Bafana Bafana will be jetting out to the Atlantic Ocean Island today, where they will gear up for Friday’s clash against Cape Verde in the first leg of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Bafana held their final training session in South Africa yesterday, with all the local-based contingent, where former Bafana stars, Andre Arendse and Quinton Fortune worked alongside Baxter at the Nike Centre in Soweto.
“The Monday proceedings were presided over by coach Stuart Baxter and his technical staff consisting of goalkeeper coach Andre Arendse and assistant coaches Thabo Senong and Quinton Fortune,” SAFA confirmed on their official website.
The Association also confirmed that former Bafana captain, Aaron Mokoena is set to travel with the squad to Cape Verde where he will work alongside Barney Kujane.
“Meanwhile, former Bafana Bafana captain Aaron Mokoena will travel with the team as part of the management staff. He will be working closely with team manager Barney Kujane,” SAFA added.
Bafana will lock horns will Cape Verde on Friday, September 01, in the first leg of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers before returning to Mzansi for the second leg on September 05.
