The South African National team has arrived In Durban where they will begin preparations for Tuesday's encounter.
Bafana Bafana will lock horns with Paraguay at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Tuesday, November 20, in the annual Nelson Mandela Challenge Centenary celebrations.
Stuart Baxter’s side will face Paraguay off the back of a draw against Nigeria on the weekend, in the Africa Cup Of Nations qualifiers.
The weekend’s result saw Nigeria qualify for the AFCON competition, with Bafana eager to avoid defeat against Libya in March next year, in order to book their spot in the African competition.
Currently in the Bafana camp are both European and local contingent, with Head Coach Baxter revealing last week that he will consider the players who will be in action this weekend in the Telkom Knockout semi-finals.
“As far as the Paraguay game is concerned, it’s important that we’ve spoken about having a positive relationship with clubs.
“If I was a coach of one of those clubs, I wouldn’t want my players to play 90 minutes, I would expect the coach to have a bit of a feeling for South African football in general and say maybe these couple (of players) can play a half in one and a half in another for example. We’ll approach it (the Paraguay game) with that in mind. It’s not a point that’s lost on anybody,” Baxter told the media last week.
Now, it remains to be seen which players Baxter will look to field in his matchday squad, come Tuesday against Paraguay.
