Bafana Bafana’s 25-man squad for the two clashes with Cameroon trained in completion for the first time yesterday after players sat out previous sessions.
The South African national team left Johannesburg this morning for their first African Cup of Nations qualifier of 2016, and face the Indomitable Lions on Saturday afternoon as they seek their first win in Group M.
Shakes Mashaba will be buoyed by the fact that the likes of Thabo Matlaba, Anele Ngcongca, Rivaldo Coetzee, Andile Jali and Kamohelo Mokotjo all returned to training on Wednesday, while Hlompho Kekana, Themba Zwane and Asavela Mbekile all took part after arriving on Tuesday.
Mashaba currently has a full squad of players available to him for Saturday’s encounter, and he will be hoping that it stays that way once they arrive in Limbe.
Bafana are set to arrive in Cameroon later this evening and will then have Friday to prepare for Saturday afternoon’s encounter.
