Bafana Bafana have dropped one position on the FIFA rankings since July 25th.
The South African national team saw a rise in its ranking in July, after going through to the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup Of Nations.
However, Bafana have not been in action since their 2-1 loss to Nigeria in the last eight of the AFCON competition and subsequently saw a drop from 70th position to 71, with Saudi Arabia overtaking the South African side.
Although, Bafana will be given the chance to improve their standings next month when they get underway with the 2021 AFCON qualifiers between October 7 and 15.
The South African national team has been drawn in Group C, alongside Ghana, Sudan and the preliminary round winner between Mauritius and Sao Tome.
Elsewhere, Senegal remain the highest ranked African team according to FIFA, with the 2019 AFCON runners-up currently at 20th position, while AFCON winners, Algeria look to catch up at 38th.
