“Actually I was at training, we were training in the morning, so as I was training, coach Gavin called me up and I thought (it would be) a normal conversation that we usually have but he just told me to pack my bags and leave and I was so surprised as to what is happening now, he said, no we will see you next week the national team wants you there,” the midfielder said on the South African Football Association’s website.
“I was still thinking is it true, am I really going there? But immediately when I got there and saw the team bus, all the Bafana technical (team) and it finally sunk in that I am being called up to the national team,” he added.
