After overcoming early struggles, Molefi Ntseki's troops managed to secure a 4-2 win over the Island national at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
However, the win did nothing with regards to positions as Bafana remain second although they are now level on nine points with Ghana, boast a better head-to-head record.
Ghana can secure Afcon qualification with a win over Sudan tomorrow, as they would move on to 12 points with two games to go and can only finish as low as second place.
Should the Black Stars defeat Sudan at the Blue Jewel Stadium, Bafana will only need one more point from their final two games to seal a ticket to the tournament.
