Round 37 of the Amstel Predictor sees all teams take to the field in exciting league clashes.
The biggest encounter for Wednesday night sees the clash between newly-crowned PSL champions Mamelodi Sundowns as they travel to Johannesburg to face Bidvest Wits FC. At this stage, Wits have no chance of winning the league and will contain their second position on the log. However, Sundowns will be looking to set a record as the team that has won the league with the highest points.
With both teams coming from draws in their previous encounters, Kaizer Chiefs will take on Free State Stars in an away fixture at Goble Park. Chiefs will be looking to move into 3rd spot on the log as they are two points behind Platinum Stars with one more game to play. Stars will try to get a top 8 finish as they linger in 11th position, 4 points away from 8th spot.
Orlando Pirates travel to the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in hopes of taking all three points on offer against Chippa United. Both teams are placed 6th and 7th position respectively and with a one point difference between the two teams. This clash promises to be interesting as these teams are fighting for a top 8 finish.
SuperSport United take on Mpumalanga Black Aces in a home game as they seek to secure their top 8 aspirations. They are placed in 8th position, a point ahead of Golden Arrows in 9th spot. Aces have been on a good run this season and are 3 places above SuperSport on the PSL standings.
Relegation threatened Maritzburg United managed to hold Orlando Pirates to a draw over the weekend and are now on level points with Tuks. The home team will desperately be looking to salvage all three points against Ajax Cape Town who are placed in 10th position and have not had the best of seasons this time around.
Tuks will be feeling some sort of pressure as Maritzburg United are on level points with the Pretoria outfit. They take on Polokwane City in an away game. This is a must win for Tuks in order to play in the play-offs, while Polokwane City are placed in 13th position, 4 points ahead of Jomo Cosmos.
3rd placed Platinum Stars host Bloemfontein Celtic at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium. Both teams managed to gather a point each from their previous encounters and will seek to acquire the three points in this match.
Jomo Cosmos travel to Durban to face 9th placed Golden Arrows. Cosmos will be in search for the three points to secure their PSL hopes and possibly move into 13th position. Arrows will be looking to move into the top 8 as they are a point behind SuperSport United.
