The premier league continues as Cape Town City take on Ajax Cape Town on Friday evening. The Cape Town Stadium will be ablaze as the first derby between the two teams takes place. With Eric Tinkler’s team looking the better side, Ajax will be seeking for their first three points for the season.
On Saturday, the PSL action continues as Platinum Stars host Baroka FC at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium. Since joining the top flight, Baroka have not won a single encounter, on the other hand their opponents have won one out of their two league matches and will be seeking to add another three points into the bag.
Polokwane City have drawn two out of their three encounters and have not secured a win this season. They host Highlands Park at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday. The away team are in better form, but City will be hoping to take full advantage from playing at their home stadium.
Steve Komphela’s Kaizer Chiefs team will be boosting in confidence as they have just managed to secure their first win for the season as they faced off against Highlands Park. Amakhosi will host Maritzburg United at the FNB Stadium. Maritzburg have been in fair form and will seek to shy away from the relegation battle zone.
The Mighty Orlando Pirates travel to the Bidvest Stadium as they seek to contain their number one league spot against the formidable Bidvest Wits team. Gavin Hunt’s soldiers have showcased great performances, however Pirates have been firing in front of goal courtesy of Tendai Ndoro. This encounter promises to be a fierce battle between the two Johannesburg-based clubs.
SuperSport United are taking their home game to the King Zwelithini Stadium as they host Free State Stars. The away side have begun the season on a low and have just recently sacked their coach, which puts them in a tight corner against Stuart Baxter’s well-rounded team.
The Dr Molemela Stadium will see off the match between Bloemfontein Celtic and Golden Arrows. Clinton Larsen’s side have won two of their three league encounters whereas their opponents have not secured a win but will hope to take full advantage of playing at home.
