Another South African player has made the switch to Portugal, with young Mihlali Mayambela joining Sporting Clube Farense.
The talented 21-year-old has impressed during loan spells with Degerfors and Brage in the Swedish Superettan over the last couple of years, and it has now been confirmed that he's taken the next step in his career by moving to Portugal.
It remains to be seen how long it will be before Mayambela gets the correct paperwork needed in order to make his Farense debut, although there could be a chance that he could play in the Taca de Liga on Saturday afternoon against Penafiel.
Farense are new in the Segunda Liga following promotion last season, and they will be hoping that Mayambela - among other new signings - could be what they need in order to maintain their spot in the league come 2019/20.
The Siya crew has been informed that he has signed a one-year loan deal from Djurgardens in Sweden, with an option to buy.
Prince Arnold Hanson, of DERS Group, confirmed the deal, saying, "We wish the boy the very best, and hope for great things ahead."
