Word reaching the Siya crew is that Bidvest Wits duo Miguel Timm and Bhongolethu Jayiya have agreed on terms with Mpumalanga Black Aces, and the deals are expected to be completed by the end of the week.
The Siya crew has been informed that both clubs have agreed on the deal, and the players have agreed on personal terms, and just the paperwork needs to be completed.
The 22-year-old Timm spent last season on loan at AmaZayoni from Wits last season and he did enough to convince the club to give him a permanent deal.
Timm made 12 league appearances for Aces last season and he scored three goals from the midfield and therefore, it’s not surprising that the team has decided to retain him.
Jayiya was also on loan at Maritzburg United last season and the Team of Choice were reportedly keen to retain him. Ajax Cape Town were also believed to be interested in him, but Aces have won the race for his signature.
The 24-year-old midfielder made 14 league appearances for the Team of Choice last season and he found the back of the net five times for the Steve Komphela’s side.
Jayiya will be hoping that he continues to score goals at Aces as they try to do better than last season’s top eight finish.
