Former Bloemfontein Celtic technical director, Mich D’Avray is reportedly in Port Elizabeth with the view of joining Chippa United.
The crew broke the story in the past few weeks that the former Cape Town Spurs coach was going to be replaced from his position at Siwelele. However, information coming from PE is that D’Avray could be unveiled as the club’s new technical director, and Siya sources indicate that he’s already in the Windy City to meet the club’s officials.
Although the club’s PRO, Lukhanyo Mzinzi, denied the news saying that the chairman, Siviwe Mpengesi is not in PE, Siya sources have indicated otherwise.
“The chairman is not here, how can he (D'Avray) come here? Who is he going to meet? Well, I can’t confirm to you at this stage but I will ask and possibly get back to you when I get the details,” said Mzinzi.
The former coach is expected to meet the Chilli Boys' officials today to discuss his immediate future.
The crew will keep track of D’Avray’s situation and keep you updated.
