In December 2016, former Manchester United and Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez left boyhood club Boca Juniors to join Shanghai Shenhua, becoming the highest paid footballer in the world in the process.
Tevez reportedly pocketed €40 million in China, but Shenhua terminated his contract a year early this week.
The 33-year-old made only 20 appearances for the Chinese side, scoring an underwhelming four goals, and was regularly accused of unprofessionalism during his time there.
Tevez has now returned to Boca for a third time, signing a two-year deal, and is hoping he can still make Argentina's squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
"I want to enjoy these next two years with Boca because it's the last thing I have left," he said at his unveiling, as quoted by TheStatesman.com.
"I have a few years of football left. Being in a World Cup for a player of my age would be something very nice."
