Buffon, who turns 42 in January, is taking part in his 25th professional campaign this season, the bulk of which has been spent with Juventus. The veteran shot-stopper is one of the world's most decorated players, with numerous titles to his name across his spells with Parma, Juve and Paris Saint-Germain, and he was in goal for Italy's 2006 FIFA World Cup triumph too.
The 2017 Serie A Footballer of the Year is joined in the squad by teammate Chiellini, who is partnered in the centre of defence by PSG's Thiago Silva, both of whom are 35. Former Bianconeri and Arsenal fullback Stephan Lichsteiner and Watford star Jose Holebas take up the roles on the flanks.
Former Paraguay international Edgar Barreto holds a central role in a makeshift three-man midfield, which also includes the width of Fiorentina's Franck Ribery and Real Betis legend Joaquin. Together, the trio boast an average age of just over 36.
Up front, Athletic Bilbao hitman Aritz Aduriz leads the line alongside last season's Serie A top goalscorer Fabio Quagliarella and evergreen Werder Bremen striker Claudio Pizarro.
