The pre-selected FIFA Ballon d'Or list was reportedly leaked on Friday and it has some very strange names on it. Here are 10 top players who were snubbed.

While players such as Arsenal's second-choice goalkeeper David Ospina and even an English League One player have reportedly been selected, the following 10 stars don't appear.
Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon made the Champions League final and was on the shortlist for the UEFA Best Player of the Year, but didn't make the 59-man shortlist.
Buffon is joined by Gerard Pique, Jordi Alba and Javier Mascherano, who were all part of FC Barcelona's treble-winning campaign, lifting the La Liga, Copa del Rey and Champions League titles.
Probably the biggest outcry could come from Bayern Munich stars Philipp Lahm, Jerome Boateng and Mario Gotze. They all won the German Bundesliga title and were instrumental in Germany's World Cup triumph, but don't make the list.
Thiago Silva, David Silva and Mesut Ozil also shone in either their domestic league, Champions League or at the World Cup, but were snubbed for English League One player Massimo Luongo, a player hardly anybody has heard of.

It would be interesting to find out what selection criteria were used to compile the list, because some omissions are difficult to understand.
