The International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES), a Swiss-based football statistics institute, recently published its latest monthly report, and this time around, they estimated the transfer values of players born in the 2000s.
CIES' algorithm takes multiple variables into consideration, including player performances, age, contract length and potentially interested clubs.
At the top of the ranking is Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies, whose value skyrocketed to €180.4 million (R3.4 billion) following his stellar breakout campaign.
The 20-year-old, who was born in a Ghana refugee camp but migrated to Canada at a young age, was one of the main pillars of Bayern's 2019/20 UEFA Champions League triumph and treble campaign.
He is followed by Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho, who is valued at €125.6 million (R2.36 billion) by CIES, before Ansu Fati completes the podium with an estimated worth of €122.7 million (R2.3 billion).
