The Signal Iduna Park in Germany, which is home to Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund, enjoyed the highest-attended match in 2019, so it comes as no surprise to see the stadium boast the highest average attendance this season. BVB have played in front of 81 132 supporters on average, which is just 233 short of a sell-out every week.
Dortmund's domestic rivals Bayern Munich trail in second place, with an average of 75 000 spectators turning out every week at the Allianz Arena to watch the reigning league champions take to the field.
Despite Manchester United's on-field struggles in recent years, Old Trafford is the stadium with the third-highest average attendance in the world. The Theatre of Dreams is home to an average of 72 569 spectators every matchday.
LaLiga rivals FC Barcelona and Real Madrid round out the top five, with the Catalan giants' Camp Nou trouncing Los Blancos' Santiago Bernabeu by 72 438 spectators to 66 242 on average.
The Giuseppe Meazza stadium, commonly known as the San Siro, and Atletico Madrid's new Wanda Metropolitano both also feature in the top 10, which you can view in full by scrolling through the gallery above!
