A Soweto Derby was the second most-attended match in 2019, with a reported full house of 88 000 spectators showing up to watch Kaizer Chiefs' 3-2 win over arch-rivals Orlando Pirates at the FNB Stadium in November.
That remarkable turnout was closely followed by the FA Cup final on 18 May last year, which was contested by Manchester City and Watford, and which drew in an audience of 85 854 supporters at England's Wembley Stadium.
Borussia Dortmund were involved in the fourth highest-attended fixture, with the Bundesliga giants having the unique honour of featuring multiple times due to the frequency with which their stadium is sold out.
