The 2010 FIFA World Cup winners are still unbeaten since Julen Lopetegui took over from Vicente Del Bosque after the 2016 UEFA European Championship.
Spain currently lead their World Cup qualification group for the showpiece in Russia with 13 points from their first five qualifiers, and play Macedonia next. Italy follow in second place with the same points haul but an inferior goal difference.
Lopetegui selected an experienced squad, mainly made up of players from Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, while talented youngsters such as Arsenal's Hector Bellerin will represent Spain at the U21 UEFA European Championship.
However, there was no space for David de Gea's Spanish teammates at United, Chelsea's in-form duo Cesc Fabregas and Marcos Alonso, as well as five other former Spain internationals.
Here is Spain's squad in full:
Goalkeepers: Pepe Reina (Napoli), David de Gea (Manchester United), Kepa Arrizabalaga (Athletic Bilbao)
Defenders: Nacho, Sergio Ramos, Dani Carvajal (all Real Madrid), Cesar Azpilicueta (Chelsea), Nacho Monreal (Arsenal), Gerard Pique, Jordi Alba (both Barcelona)
Midfielders: Sergio Busquets, Andres Iniesta, Sergi Roberto (all Barcelona), Koke (Atletico Madrid), Isco, Marco Asensio (both Real Madrid), Thiago Alcantara (Bayern Munich), David Silva (Manchester City), Asier Illarramendi (Real Sociedad)
Forwards: Vitolo (Sevilla), Alvaro Morata (Real Madrid), Diego Costa, Pedro (both Chelsea), Iago Aspas (Celta Vigo), Gerard Deulofeu (AC Milan)
Asensio, Deulofeu and goalkeeper Keka will join up with Spain's U21 squad at the European Championship once the senior team's two matches are completed.
