The Frenchman announced his surprise departure from Los Blancos on Thursday, saying he wanted to leave "when everything was going well" rather than in a bad moment.

Many reports suggested that Zidane would take some sort of sabbatical after lifting nine trophies with Los Blancos in just two and a half years.

However, Egyptian billionaire Naguib Sawiris has claimed that "Zizou" will be offered a four-year deal by the Qatar Football Association.

Qatar reportedly want Zidane to prepare their team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in their country, and are ready to pay the Frenchman £120 000 a day (R2 million) over four years, accorrding to talkSPORT.

Overall, the former Real boss could pocket a whopping £176 million (R2.98 billion) between 2018 and 2022, but it remains to be seen whether or not he decides to take up the crazy offer.

@slowpoison , Haaaaa!! I was thinking the same thing. But Zizou is no greedy Santana. He will work where the players can hear him speak. I doubt he will accept Qatar job.

@nazzi the second winning 9 titles within two and a half years does not only require great players. It definitely was not a fluke. Definitely there’s something right he did which his predecessors couldn’t or didn’t do. He can succeed at Qatar and stil get the respect and reverence he’s accorded today, not because he will have won the World Cup but because he’ll have built s team that will be respected and able to compete at the World Cup. If he can achieve to go through group stages and get into knockout stages that will be success. We will still talk about him in the same reverence as we do today. He’ll have a chance to come back to Real or France with even more respect from players and win bigger things.

What will happen after 2022 or even before that? Zidane had everything he needed at Madrid that's why he was successful. In Qatar he will have to use whatever will be offered to him he won't be able to buy or sell. After that 2022 World Cup nobody will remember what he did at Madrid we will all remember Qatar situation

well Zidane is about to becomw an unnkown in football , like that coach who used to coach Barca before Pep, yes it's a lot of money but coaching cows who wil probably end up nowhere , by the time he's done coaching Qatar he will be just another coach who could have been great vs him going to another big team with big credentials , come on now from coaching super stars of madrid to coaching a bunch of unknowns?
