Former Manchester United winger David Beckham reportedly wants to sign a Real Madrid star for the club he partly owns.
The player-turned-club owner is understood to have become more involved in the football side of his Inter Miami project this year after appointing his former United teammate Phil Neville as head coach of the Major League Soccer team.
The duo now seem to be focusing on transfers, and reportedly want to bring in more high-profile names following the arrivals of Gonzalo Higuain and Blaise Matuidi in their inaugural MLS campaign.
Beckham even revealed that he would like to sign Cristiano Ronaldo Lionel Messi in the future, but for now, it seems other names are more realistic.
According to France Football, the Red Devils legend has now identified Los Blancos left-back Marcelo as his next transfer target.
The Brazilian has been with Real since January 2007, and was a teammate of Beckham's in the Englishman's final six months as a player at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Marcelo, who has made more than 500 appearances for Real, has seemingly lost his spot in Zinedine Zidane's strongest XI to Ferland Mendy this season, but his contract with Los Blancos is only set to expire at the end of the 2021/22 campaign.
