Diego Costa has finally found a new club after parting ways with LaLiga champions Atletico Madrid last season.
The Brazil-born striker has been out of action for eight months after terminating his contract with Los Rojiblancos midway through the previous campaign.
However, the 32-year-old has now decided to leave European football after signing a deal with Brazilian outfit Atletico Mineiro this past weekend.
"Diego Costa is a Galo player," a statement from the club read.
"The Athletic board and the player reached an agreement today. Galo will be his first club as a professional athlete in Brazil."
Costa enjoyed a fruitful career in Europe, having won seven titles with Atletico while he also won two Premier League trophies with Chelsea.
Atletico Mineiro, meanwhile, currently sit top of the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A standings after 16 rounds of matches.
