Nigeria have announced a strong 23-man squad, including one Premier Soccer League star, for their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Cameroon.

Click through the mini-gallery above to see some Nigeria stars who were snubbed for their national team's latest squad.

The Super Eagles will face Cameroon twice in the upcoming international break, and will hope to keep their lead in their World Cup qualification group after starting with two wins over Zambia and Algeria, while the Indomitable Lions drew their previous two matches.

German coach Gernot Rohr has come under pressure after Bafana Bafana beat his side 2-0 in Nigeria in the opening fixture of the 2018 AFCON qualifiers.

Nigeria's squad includes Premier League stars such as Wilfred Ndidi, Ahmed Musa, Kelechi Iheanacho (all Leicester City), Alex Iwobi (Arsenal) and Victor Moses (Chelsea), as well as former Chelsea star John Obi Mikel, while Chippa United goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi is the only representative from South Africa's top flight.

Here is Nigeria's 23-man squad in full, as announced by the Nigerian Football Federation:

Goalkeepers: Daniel Akpeyi (Chippa United, South Africa); Ikechukwu Ezenwa (FC Ifeanyi Ubah); Dele Alampasu (Cesarense FC, Portugal)

Midfielders: John Obi Mikel (Tianjin Teda, China); Ogenyi Onazi (Trabzonspor FC, Turkey); Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City, England); Oghenekaro Etebo (CD Feirense, Portugal); John Ogu (Hapoel Beer Sheva, Israel); Mikel Agu (Bursaspor FC, Turkey)

Seven players have been named on a standby list, while the likes of Brown Ideye, Isaac Success and Victor Osimhen, who were in the previous squad, have not been called up.

There's a goal keeper who plays for Ifeanyiubah which is a local team, what do u mean by saying there's not even 1 single player from their league???and again if u can check the likes of Cameroon,Algeria,Ivory coast,Senegal and Morroco you'll see that they themselves have equally quality players who plays in the top leagues around the world,so b4 nikhuluma better have facts.
