The ever-entertaining Mario Balotelli once again made headlines when he scored five goals in a match at the weekend, including an outrageous rabona strike following seven stepovers.
The Italian forward ended the 2021/22 season on a high in a Turkish Super Lig clash against Goztepe, with the Adana Demirspor man finding the back of the net on five occasions in a remarkable 7-0 victory.
Balotelli, 31, has concluded the campaign with 19 goals in 33 matches across all competitions, while he also assisted a further six strikes for his colleagues.
Although his five-star performance would have been worthy of praise regardless, it was the ex-Manchester City and Liverpool attacker's fifth and final goal on Sunday, a rabona finish that was preceded by seven stepovers as he entered the Goztepe penalty area, that grabbed the world's attention.

Earlier this year, Balotelli was linked with a return to English football after it was reported that Fulham had identified him as a potential target if they won promotion from the English Championship.
A place in next season's Premier League was eventually secured, but it remains to be seen if Balotelli is still being considered a transfer target by the Cottagers.
Balotelli is one of several top footballers who has arguably not lived up to his potential. See more players who share similar stories below:
