Former Manchester City and Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli caused a major stir after arriving in Turkey to officially join his new club.
The Italian striker has found a new team ahead of the 2021/22 season after joining Turkish outfit Adana Demirspor on a free transfer last month.
Balotelli, who penned a three-year deal with Demirspor, touched down in Turkey on Monday afternoon to begin working with his new team.
The 30-year-old was given the ultimate welcome upon his arrival as he was surrounded by numerous supporters who chanted his name.
Fellow Demirspor signing David Akintola is looking forward to playing alongside the 2009/10 UEFA Champions League winner.
"I'm looking forward to playing with him," the Nigerian winger said, as per The Sun.
"Hopefully everything goes well. He is a very experienced player that has played at the highest level for a very long time.
"I'm looking forward to learning from him, to playing with him and hopefully we can have good chemistry on the pitch and outside the pitch.
"I have met him, he seems like a very nice guy. He is not the Balotelli people see as the bad guy. Only people that don't know him feel that way."
