Barcelona legend Gerard Pique has given his verdict on who he thinks is the better forward between Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.

The two young forwards are regarded by many to be the heirs to Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi's thrones as the most prolific forwards in European football, and with Pique having played with the Portugal star and the Argentine, he has now made his judgement regarding the prospects.
"They are two of the best players right now," the 2010 FIFA World Cup winner said, as per Sky Sports.
"They are very young and they both have the potential for the Ballon d'Or, for sure.
"I think Haaland is more a pure striker, very strong and scores a lot of goals. Mbappe is a more complete player – can play as a winger or striker.
"I didn't have the opportunity to play against Haaland, I played against Mbappe. It's difficult to choose."
Both have been finding the back of the net at an alarming rate since they emerged on the world stage, with Haaland having scored 134 goals in 165 appearances across stints in Sweden, Austria and now Germany.
Mbappe, meanwhile, has spent the entirety of his career in France, playing first for AS Monaco and now Paris Saint-Germain. The 23-year-old has scored 194 goals in 274 appearances for the two clubs, winning five Ligue 1 titles in the process.
Both players could be on the move in the upcoming transfer window as Europe's elite look to reinforce their forward lines for years to come.
Mbappe has been courted by Real Madrid since the beginning of the season, and with his current deal with Les Parisiens expiring at the end of the campaign, Los Blancos remain intent to secure the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner's services.
Haaland has reportedly agreed terms to move to Manchester City once the transfer window commences. Although he has been plagued by a number of injury niggles this season, City boss Pep Guardiola will be looking to the Norwegian add to an already thin forward line.
Of other youngsters Pique believes can become superstars, the centre-back added: "I think Pedri has a chance, Gavi is also very good for his age. We have great talents here at Barcelona right now. They have to grow and they will be better, but still right now they are very good."
