The Italian giants progressed to the final of the competition after beating Leicester City 2-1 on aggregate at the semi-final stage, with Mourinho having now reached five European finals with four different clubs.
Having won all of his previous ones – with Porto, Inter Milan and Manchester United – Mourinho will feel confident ahead of the Giallorossi's clash against Feyenoord, but is not yet getting ahead of himself.
Speaking after the game, he reiterated that "it is only a final", and explained that he felt overcome with emotion for all of those who support Roma.
"This is a giant club without the trophy room in relation to the social dimension of the club. So, this is not a trophy, it's only the final but it means a lot for them," he said, according to The National News.
"Of course, I have had bigger moments than this, but I am not feeling for myself, I am feeling for the people and my players. This, for us, is our Champions League."
"I shed a tear because my emotion was for everyone who loves this club.
"I've had the fortune to play more prestigious finals than this one. But in terms of the way we've created a family atmosphere here, it makes me feel special."
The final of the Europa Conference League will take place on 25 May at the Arena Kombetare in Albania.
