Italy Announce New Coach

A former Manchester City coach has been confirmed as Italy's new head coach.

Roberto Mancini has been announced as the new Azzurri head coach, signing a two-year deal.

Mancini was previously in charge of Russian club Zenit St Petersburg before he mutually agreed to terminate his contract for the Italy job.

Mancini takes over from Gian Piero Ventura, who was sacked after failing to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.
