Aliou Cissé fielded the likes of Balde Keita, Mame Biram Diouf, Diafra Sakho and Idrissa Gueye but they were unable to find the back of the net on the night.

Simiarly to their African compatriots, Morocco had an uneventful night front of goal as they drew 0-0 with Ukraine at Stade de Genève.

Slovakia 1-1 Netherlands
 
Slovakia and Netherlands, who both failed to qualify for the World Cup, played to a 1-1 draw on Thursday evening.
 
Adam Nemec put the home side ahead after eight minutes, before the Dutch leveled matters through Quincy Promes in the 59th minute.
