Balotelli Nets On Italy Return, Tunisia & Nigeria Secure Draws

France 2-0 Republic of Ireland

France began their World Cup preparations with a routine 2-0 win over the Republic of Ireland at the Stade de France.

Olivier Giroud opened the scoring for the hosts after 40 minutes, before Nabil Fekir doubled the lead three minutes later.

Portugal 2-2 Tunisia

Tunisia came back from two goals down to secure a 2-2 draw with Portugal at Estádio Municipal de Braga.

Andre Silva and Joao Mario put the home side two goals up inside 34 minutes.

However, the Tunisians hit back through Anice Badri in the 39th while Fakhereedine Ben Youssef leveled matters for the visitors in the 64th minute.

Italy 2-1 Saudi Arabia

Mario Balotelli found the back of the net on his return for Italy, as they defeated Saudi Arabia 2-1 on Monday night.

Balotelli opened the scoring with a fine low strike from distance in the 21st minute before Andrea Belotti sealed the win in the 68th minute.

Yehya Al Shehri  netted a consolation for the Saudi Arabia.

Nigeria 1-1 Congo DR

Nigeria continued their World Cup preparation with a 1-1 draw against Congo DR on Monday.

William Troost-Ekong handed the Super Eagles the lead after 15 minutes, before Ben Malango leveled matters for the visitors after 78 minutes.

Mario was very poor in the game though, he was just strolling, not running and looked very unfit for a player that plays week in week out in France
