International Friendly
Result: Italy 1-1 Spain
Date: 25 March 2016

Aritz Aduriz scored his first goal for Spain, as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Italy in an international friendly.
Gli Azzurri were almost off to the perfect start as they threatened to score in the fifth minute of the clash. Candreva was given the ball down the right flank and he crossed low for Pelle, but Sergio Ramos made a crucial interception.
Candreva was in the thick of the action again 10 minutes later. The midfielder powered towards the Spanish box and unleashed a shot from 30 yards, but David de Gea made a good save.
Italy came close again when Giaccherini's shot deflected off of Juan Mata and went behind for a corner after some lovely interplay between Pelle and Candreva who set up the cross.
The deadlock was broken past the hour mark as Lorenzo Insigne found the back of the visitors' net. A counter attack saw Florenzi tee up Giaccherini who sent a low cross towards Insigne.
Their celebrations were, however, short lived. Cesc Fabregas produced the cross which bent into the middle of the box where Morata rose high to test Buffon three minutes later. The goalkeeper's attempt at a save saw him parry the ball towards Aduriz who simply finished.
