Lacazette Nets Brace As France Hold Germany

Alexandre Lacazette bagged a brace as France drew 2-2 with world champions Germany in an international friendly on Tuesday evening.
Anthony Martial, Kylian Mbape and Lacazette started in the attack for the visitors, as Antoine Griezmann dropped to the bench while Olivier Giroud dropped out completely due to an injury.
The game got off a to a quiet start with the first chance arriving in the 19th minute when Lacazette forced Kevin Trapp into a fine save.
France eventually broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute as Martial unselfishly teed up Lacazette for the simple tap-in from close range, 1-0.
The visitors had a chance to level matters five minutes before the break but Timo Werner could only fire straight at Steve Mandanda after being teed up by Mesut Ozil.
Germany eventually leveled matters 10 minutes into the second half as Ozil played a fine pass into Werner, who slotted through Mandanda's legs, 1-1.
However, the visitors restored their lead in the 71st minute as Mbappe turned provider to pick out Lacazette, who finished superbly for his second goal of the night.
The world champions introduced Lars Stindl for Emre Can in the 83rd minute as they pushed for an equaliser.
The change paid off for Joachim Low, as Stindl was gifted time and space to pick his spot and he showed good composure to fire past Mandanda from close range to secure a draw for the hosts, 2-2.
